Yes, Lord Mockton, there is global warming.

Last Friday I asked our environmental correspondent, Geoffrey Lean of the London Daily Telegraph, about a series of stories in (mostly conservative) blogs and papers saying that the  British agency that tracks the environment and global warming, the Met, had posted a chart showing that global warming actually stopped in the 90′s.  After he got done laughing, Geoff explained that the chart in question was only a piece of a larger chart that tracks the pace of global warming.  The deniers, in case Lord Mockton, simply took a piece of a larger chart that proves their point, and ignored the entire chart which demonstrated global warming’s rise.  To see the full chart, and the parts of it that Lord Mockton and the global deniers published, check out  http://www.skepticalscience.com/graphics/SkepticsvRealists_500.gif
