Koch Brothers connection to Stalin
From a report on the Koch Industries history (emphasis added):
In the late 1920s there was at least one country in the world where oil was not bought and sold, in the usual sense–the Soviet Union. The Soviets had been trying to take advantage of their immense oil reserves since gaining power in 1917, and under Joseph Stalin the drive to industrial efficiency was pursued with ruthless speed but without the benefit of Western technology. Fred Koch offered to build oil refineries in the Soviet Union that would be more efficient than those in the West. The young engineer’s ideas were welcomed, and he was awarded a large contract to coincide with Stalin’s first five-year plan, beginning in 1929. The contract called for construction of 15 refineries for an initial fee of $5 million, from which Koch and his partner, L. E. Winkler, are said to have netted a $500,000 profit. Koch’s work in the Soviet Union necessitated sojourns in that country, offering the Texas farmboy an intimate look at the Soviet system while providing the cash he would later need in building his U.S. empire.
So, while we are getting huffy about the history of the founder of Nation Magazine and Stalin, we shouldn’t forget that the major bank roller of the right wing in America and the money behind the Tea Party Express, the Heritage Foundation, the CATO institute and other elements of the right wing lobby and echo chamber currently funded by the Koch brothers, started with their father Fred Koch and Joe Stalin. They have used the fortune he built on Soviet oil refineries to distort American democracy
Or perhaps we should stick to the point – how to make America better.

Could Fred have been a communist with a hidden agenda to destroy America from the right not the left? Look at what has happened as a result of the Koch money investments in the right, almost total ruin for the middle class and a slow descent into extreme poverty for the rest of us, our students in perpetual servitude to the banks, rising poverty in veterans, no medical access for more than a majority of Americans without a hefty front end cost even with insurance America on her knees, a hollow shell. What more could Stalin and his cohorts have wanted? Putin must be laughing himself to sleep every night.
I do not think that you can make a case for stalin’s influence on the koch brothers and their attempt to destroy our middle class. In the times of joseph stalin there were only the proletariat and their soviet leadership. All others were extermated
I do feel that you can make a case for examing the koch brothers financial foot prints to see where their monies are going and why. I would not be shocked to see some involvement in supporting terror organizations.than you could ascertain what their true intentions are on a global scale i believe that the koch brothers are the embodiement of greed and evil.
